The Princess Sent Away for Marriage Is Jilted, So I Help the Hostage Prince Take the Throne

[Strong Female Lead, Political Intrigue, Revenge, Raising an Emperor]

Zhaoyue was the most honored princess of Great Ning. To secure peace between the two nations, she was sent far away to marry into the Tiansheng Dynasty.

Yet on the very day she arrived, the Tiansheng Crown Prince tore up their marriage contract in front of everyone, making her a laughingstock across the land.

The arrogant crown prince declared, "A mere princess from a weak nation thinks she's worthy of being my crown princess?"

The entire court waited to see her go home in tears.

But Zhaoyue only smiled calmly and turned toward the enemy nation's hostage imprisoned in Tiansheng: the frail, blind young man, Xiao Chen, whom everyone bullied.

"Do you want to return to your country and reclaim everything that belongs to you?"

From then on, she became his only "eyes" and his sole support.

She taught him political strategy, gathered talented people for him, and helped him escape the imperial prison.

She established trade routes, forged weapons, and step by step paved a bloody path for him to the pinnacle of power.

When Xiao Chen led an army of hundreds of thousands to storm the capital of Tiansheng, the once-arrogant crown prince knelt and begged for mercy.

Wiping his sword clean, Xiao Chen quietly asked Zhaoyue behind him, "Elder Sister, what should I do with this man?"

Zhaoyue toyed with a chess piece between her fingers without even looking up.

"You think you can lay a hand on what's mine?"
