Wu Wen, a top student specializing in Ming history, accidentally transmigrates to the eighth year of the Hongwu era. After revealing Liu Bowen’s fate and a royal secret with a single remark, he is seized by the Embroidered Uniform Guard and dragged into the Hall of Heavenly Purity.
Facing certain death, he publicly exposes the secrets of the Ming dynasty’s century-long destiny: Hu Weiyong’s rebellion, the massacre of all the meritorious officials, and the crown prince’s early death.
He also produces strange modern objects he carries with him to prove he truly comes from the future, shocking the Hongwu Emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang.
The emperor makes an exception and grants him an opportunity, ordering him to defy fate, turn the crisis around, and change the nation’s fortunes…
