Mo Zhou Ling Tian: Ruling the Eight Wastelands

The Ming Dynasty enforces a strict maritime ban, leaving coastal merchants to suffer. Shen Zhiwei, daughter of a sea merchant, comes from a family of shipbuilders, but the charge of colluding with Japanese pirates leaves her family destroyed. Patient and resilient, she has mastered the ingenious shipbuilding techniques of the Mohists and vows to rebuild her family’s fortunes and uncover the truth. Lu Zhao, the court’s inspector of the maritime ban, bears the injustice of his family’s false accusation. Torn by conflicting feelings, he appears cold and merciless, but secretly seeks the truth. By chance, Shen Zhiwei is forced to deal with Lu Zhao to save her clan, and their fates intertwine amid the turmoil of the maritime ban. With an ill-timed “Mohist vessel,” she breaks through the court’s restrictions and stirs up a storm. Though he holds a high position, he struggles in a whirlpool of political intrigue, seeking redemption between personal grudges and the greater good of the nation. When the vast conspiracy behind the maritime ban comes to light, and the secret of the Mohist vessel rocks the court, can they join forces to cross the sea, defy fate, clear their names, and reshape the Ming coastline? This is not only a struggle for survival and revenge, but also a tragic epic of individual lives resisting the torrents of their times.
