My Private Dishes Made Taotie Drool, and Now He Won't Leave

[Food + Spirits + Classic of Mountains and Seas + System + Lighthearted Daily Life + One-on-One, Both Chaste]

The day food editor Su Nian was laid off, she received a registered letter sent eight years earlier.

Inside were only a brass key and an old photograph. In it, her father, who had been missing for years, stood in front of a little shop called Jinweixuan.

She went to the address, and the moment she opened the door, a voice rang in her mind:

"The Classic of Mountain and Sea Food Spirits is activating... Previous inheritor: Su Mingyuan (relationship: father)."

Later, her private restaurant became a hit.

In the kitchen, a little pig spirit called Dang Kang prepared the ingredients. In the dining room, a sharp-tongued beauty called Luan Niao served the dishes.

The heat of the stove was under the complete control of Old Master Bi Fang.

And her first customer was Lu Yan, the sharp-tongued food critic reputed to be able to "make Michelin cry with a single bite."

Lu Yan tasted her crystal pork aspic, fell silent for three seconds, and said, "There's something wrong with this place."

After a pause, he added, "I'll be back tomorrow."

He really was a descendant of Taotie, born able to taste every flavor in the world, yet he had never found anything "delicious."

But there was something in her cooking that he had been searching for for twenty years.
