The Ming Dynasty's Top Magnate: His Patron Turns Out to Be Empress Ma

In the early Hongwu era, the imperial treasury is empty. Zhu Yan, a special forces soldier from a previous life, transmigrates and becomes the Prince of Peace, a pillar of the realm, doted on like his life depends on it by Empress Ma and Crown Prince Zhu Biao!

Watching Old Zhu worry about money every day, Zhu Yan waves a hand. “We're broke? Let's take the Ming court public!”

And so, the capital's atmosphere changes overnight.

Officials attending court? They need a “Hall of Supreme Harmony VIP Express Screening Pass.” No payment, and they'll have to queue at the door for a special forces body search!

Want to impeach him? Sure. We'll set up a “Royal Complaint Box.” Filing an impeachment memorial costs fifty taels!

Xu Da and Li Shanchang are swindled out of everything they own, and the officials kneel in the Hall of Supreme Harmony, weeping and begging Zhu Yuanzhang to do something.

Old Zhu angrily draws the Emperor's sword. “You little brat! I'm going to kill you today!”

Empress Ma slams a hand on the table. “Chongba! You dare lay a finger on Yan'er and see what happens!”

Zhu Biao silently hands over a bill. “Father, please settle the venue and tea charges for the officials' imperial complaints.”

Old Zhu is so furious he coughs up blood. But when he sees the Japanese state, beaten into a labor camp by Zhu Yan's “Royal Security Company,” and the mountains of silver they've brought back…

Old Zhu grins from ear to ear. “Ahem, good son, how about I put up the Imperial Seal as collateral? Save me twenty percent of the company's founding shares, will you?”
