Not Enough for Tuition, So You Want Me to Con the Conglomerates?

Gu Yan is Jiang University’s most intensely competitive top student. He studies for 16 hours every day, until he gets bound to the [Work-Life Balance System].

“Host has been studying too much. Brain fatigue detected. Go host a god-tier auction immediately to relax! Mission reward: 20 times the study efficiency!”

Gu Yan is stunned. “??? Who thinks extorting global financial magnates is a way to relax?”

But for 20 times the study efficiency, he can only put on a mask and become the god-tier auctioneer “Number Zero,” tears in his eyes.

And so, his daily routine becomes this:

“Relax” for half an hour: sell a vial of life-source fluid, and a Western financial tycoon gets so excited he falls to his knees, banging his head on the floor and throwing out tens of billions of dollars.

“Relax” for an hour: put up a set of mech blueprints, and the top experts from every country start fighting on the auction floor to outbid one another.

Looking at the extra trillions in his account and the frenzied power brokers below, Gu Yan feels completely drained. “Dealing with these big shots is exhausting! When do I get off work? I still have to get back to the dorm and memorize political theory for my graduate entrance exam!”

After reporters go to great lengths to uncover the true identity of Number Zero, the mastermind behind it all, they are shocked to discover that he is a poor student who spends every day in the library.

Facing the cameras, Gu Yan's eyes redden, and he looks ready to cry.

“I swear, I really just wanted to study hard. The System was the one forcing me to rip them off!”
