[This is NOT a normal card-battling story!!! The combat isn't traditional turn-based fighting. The story mainly explores the feasibility of turn-based versus real-time combat, so you may see things like someone running around even though it isn't their turn.]
[In this era when everyone commands objects, they call me a duelist.]
The world awakens, and those who command objects reign supreme. S-ranks command gods and demons; B-ranks control steel. As for me, Wu Youchen, I awakened an F-rank deck.
They use energy levels to rate strength and ranks to distinguish geniuses from good-for-nothings.
I use attack points to compare gods and demons, defense points to measure steel, and a single [Solemn Judgment] to define “invincible.”
My childhood friend says, “My C-rank Ice Phoenix can freeze everything.”
I look at the hand trap: [Effect Veiler].
The prodigy laughs. “My A-rank Dragon Soul has unbeatable attack power!”
I quietly set three cards face down: [Magic Cylinder], [Solemn Judgment], [Dimensional Prison].
They mock me, pity me, and leave me.
They don't understand. While the world is busy summoning, possessing, and fusing, I'm the only one still playing cards seriously.
And on my turn, the Normal Summon isn't even over yet. The Main Phase has only just begun.
“Come on,” I say to everyone, shuffling the deck that will decide the world's fate.
“Welcome to my battlefield.”
I don't know if I've seen other preconceptions about summoning Yu-Gi-Oh!
