Siheyuan: Seal the Moon Gate, Close the Door, and Feast

In 1949, Beiping had just been liberated.

Twenty-four-year-old Yi Feng returned from the battlefield, not only the youngest county-level regiment cadre, but also the head of a takeover team on the Military Control Commission, wielding absolute authority!

With a portable spatial realm and max-level infrastructure skills, Yi Feng was delighted. He had planned to share his good fortune with his elder brother Yi Zhonghai, whom he remembered as having raised him through hardship.

But the moment he pushed open the courtyard gate, he heard Yi Zhonghai plotting with Jia Zhangshi: “If we tamper with Yi Feng's medicine and cripple him, I can take his property and house fair and square, then make him serve both our families as a childless workhorse for the rest of his life!”

“Boom!”

His rosy view of family shattered on the spot, and Yi Feng flew into a rage!

What a sanctimonious moral paragon! You were the one who orchestrated our parents' deaths, too!

If you refuse to act human, then you're all going straight to hell!

He slapped Yi Zhonghai so hard he went flying! One kick broke Silly Zhu's ribs! A single written indictment sent Jia Dongxu off to reform through labor!

The jealous residents of the courtyard tried to band together and pressure him?

Yi Feng sneered and summoned a squad of guards, their dark gun barrels aimed at the crowd. “Assaulting a military-control official and obstructing Beiping's development. You're all coming with us for investigation!”

The residents were stripped of everything and fell to their knees begging for mercy!

With the compensation money from the residents in hand, Yi Feng had the moon gate demolished and built a grand red gate elsewhere, physically sealing off the courtyard!

He installed electric wiring himself, built a flush toilet, and ate meat and fish at every meal!

Outside the wall, Yi Zhonghai and the other residents gnawed on moldy steamed buns, shivering in despair in the snowstorm.

Inside, Yi Feng drank red wine and ate roast meat with his beautiful wife in his arms, leading the development of heavy industry and infrastructure as he embarked on a legendary, invincible life!
