After Going Bankrupt, the Aloof Monk Spoils Me Rotten

Fu Yanci, the heir to a powerful family in Beijing, is ruthless and keeps a string of small-leaf rosewood Buddhist beads in his hand. Cool and austere, he seems like a god above the clouds.

The Su family goes bankrupt overnight. To protect everything her father worked for, Su Yao, once the family’s shining jewel,

intercepts his Maybach on a rainy night and signs a marriage contract with this all-powerful living demon.

Everyone mocks her as nothing more than a decorative rich wife, destined for a loveless marriage.

Su Yao is happy to have some peace and quiet, sticking to their rule of “no interfering in each other’s lives” and focusing on her career.

Until one night, she accidentally knocks over his century-old agarwood.

The man, usually compassionate and distant, backs her into a corner.

His long, distinct-knuckled fingers slowly tug off his tie, and the Buddhist beads he never takes off wrap tightly around her slender wrist.

The sharp scent of sandalwood fills the air as his kisses rain down on her. The restraint in his eyes crumbles bit by bit. “Yao Yao, who taught you that you could tease someone and then walk away unscathed?”

From then on, the aloof Buddhist devotee falls from his altar, demanding kisses with red-rimmed eyes every night and gladly becoming her devoted servant.
