Great Ming: I Just Started a Rebellion, and Old Zhu Turns Out to Be My Dad

[Special Forces] [Firepower Shortage Anxiety] [Overprotective] [The Ming Dynasty Is One Big Happy Family] [Dimensionality Reduction]

After watching the Ming Dynasty, Chu Ze found himself an orphan stranded on the northern frontier. To protect himself in an age of chaos, he threw himself into military-industrial construction on the frontier, where unrest was suddenly brewing. He trained special forces, built flintlock rifles, and set up steel mills... In just a few years, he had pushed himself into becoming a warlord with enough heavy firepower to dominate the north!

In the tenth year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma went incognito to inspect the northern frontier. They had planned to investigate discreetly, but as soon as they reached the foot of a mountain, Chu Ze's camouflage-clad Special Forces captured them.

In the interrogation room, Chu Ze slapped down a world map and artillery blueprints. “Old sir, to be honest, I was just planning to take Nanjing and topple Zhu Chongba. Want to join me?”

Zhu Yuanzhang was so furious he reached for his saber, but Empress Ma stared at the longevity lock around Chu Ze's neck and burst into tears. “Chongba, h-he's our eldest legitimate son, the one we lost during the war!”

And so the Ming Dynasty went completely off the rails.

Zhu Yuanzhang sent over a city defense map in the middle of the night. “My dear boy, the south gate is weakly defended. Your father will teach you how to break in!”

Empress Ma came to court with a saber in hand. “Anyone who dares lay a hand on my son will have their entire clan wiped out!”

Crown Prince Zhu Biao sobbed uncontrollably. “Big Brother, you're finally back! You can be crown prince instead. I want a vacation!”

Prince of Yan Zhu Di became his number-one fan. “Big Brother, give me five thousand riflemen and I'll conquer Japan for you!”

Looking at the assembled court officials, Chu Ze sighed and pulled out blueprints for an ironclad steamship. “Since we're done pretending, let's start with a modest goal: build a Ming Dynasty on which the sun never sets!”
