My Granddaughter Appraises Treasures, Revealing My Identity as an Immortal

Mo Yuan has lived for two thousand years. He slew dragons in the pre-Qin era and drank wine in the prosperous Tang. Now, weary of the passing years, he lives in seclusion on an old street, running a used bookstore and enjoying life as an ordinary retired old man. His granddaughter, Mo Weiwei, is an anime streamer. Hoping to attract views, she decides to livestream herself clearing out the “junk” in her grandfather’s attic. During the livestream: “Hey, everyone, look at this broken old cauldron. It’d be great for planting flowers. Anyone want it? Fifty yuan, shipping included!” (It is the Jiuzhou Cauldron, which once suppressed the nine-headed dragon of the East Sea.) “This rusty old iron sword is so dull it’s no good for cutting watermelon. I’ve put it in the shop cart!” (It is the Xuanyuan Sword, stained with immortal blood.) Just as viewers start mocking the streamer for selling junk, her granddaughter accidentally tears an old, yellowed painting covered in “ghostly scribbles.” In an instant, black clouds roll over the city for a hundred miles. A thunderous dragon’s roar bursts from the painting, and the phantom of a true dragon shoots into the sky. Three million people in the livestream are scared out of their wits. Meanwhile, Mo Yuan walks in carrying a basket of groceries. “You little rascal, where did you put the blue stone brick I use to weigh down the pickled cabbage?” Special security agencies from around the world mobilize overnight and seal off the old street.
