I Brought Home a Pitiful Miaojiang Boy, but He's Sickly Sweet and Twisted

[Two male leads, young man from Miaojiang, possessive love, confinement, younger top]

A gloomy, yandere, unhinged younger top from Miaojiang × a timid yet flirtatious cannon-fodder bottom who tries to run away

Gu Zefei transmigrates into the cannon-fodder young master who gets chopped into a human stump by the protagonist top.

The plot is only 10% in, and the protagonist top has already set his sights on him. Gu Zefei acts decisively and runs.

He flees into the hundred thousand mountains on the southwestern border, deep into Miaojiang, to a place that isn't even marked on the map.

On the day he enters the village, he steps into a trap and is rescued by Jin Zhu.

The boy is as beautiful as a poisonous mushroom growing by a mountain stream. The villagers say he's an orphan raised by a Gu enchantress, and that anyone who touches him will have bad luck.

Gu Zefei doesn't believe in bad omens. The more they tell him not to touch the boy, the more he wants to get close.

He brings him fabric, silver ornaments, and all sorts of colorful things from beyond the mountains.

He thinks he's a spoiled young master rescuing a lonely, pitiful boy, awkwardly hovering around him. Jin Zhu never responds, but his dark eyes always settle on Gu Zefei whenever no one is looking.

Until Gu Zefei gets drunk and knocks on Jin Zhu's door.

The next morning, he wakes with a silver marking on his wrist. It seems alive, gliding along with his pulse. Jin Zhu kneels before him, the corners of his eyes red. “Master, you said last night that you'd take me with you.”

Gu Zefei wants to run. But every time he tries to leave the village, his whole body aches as if something is gnawing between his bones. The pain vanishes the moment Jin Zhu touches him.

The boy gently wipes away his cold sweat. “Don't be afraid, Master. I just raised a little Gu inside your body.”

Gu Zefei finally realizes that he didn't pick up a poor little thing. He brought a walking disaster home.

And even more chillingly, everything has been under the boy's control all along.
