Lu Xiaozhou, 24, a Meituan delivery rider. His three biggest worries in life are customers rushing him, late orders, and rent at the end of the month.
Then, during a rainy morning rush, he saves a girl from a dump truck, only to realize that time seems to have… slowed down.
It’s not a broken watch. He has awakened a supernatural ability.
His power: slowing down time. His current situation: he has no idea how to use it. It triggers whenever he gets worked up, and every time it does, he ends up exhausted as if he had run a marathon.
And there’s more. The girl he saved is named Lin Youyou. She works at a milk tea shop, brings him cookies every day, and can read minds. She knows everything he’s thinking.
“You were just thinking I’m really pretty.” “...I was thinking my delivery was late.” “Liar.”
Meanwhile, a mysterious organization called Black Cat Hall starts watching him. The station chief, Old Zhang, is hiding a secret he’s kept for fifteen years, and a mysterious woman trapped in a rift for a thousand years is waiting for a time-wielder to appear…
This is the story of a delivery rider.
He has no connections, no money, and no experience.
But he has someone he wants to protect, and a heart that refuses to give up.
