A few things to keep in mind: 1. There is a System, but it plays a much smaller role in the middle and later parts of the story.
2. The pacing is slow, and the love interest won't appear until more than ten chapters in.
3. This is a wish-fulfillment story. Some plot points will be made plausible, but don't expect everything to be airtight.
4. The author isn't very good at plotting, so the political scheming may be rather simplistic.
5. The setting is loosely based on the Spring and Autumn period.
6. The first 13 chapters focus on one person's efforts to build a settlement in the primeval forest. The political scheming and development arc starts in Chapter 14, so feel free to skip straight there if you don't enjoy the earlier chapters.
