Lin Fan, an ordinary young man, unexpectedly acquires the “Value Appraisal System,” which lets him see the true worth of all things, hidden far beyond their outward appearance. He uses it to find undervalued treasures and rise through the antique world, but this also draws the attention of secretive organizations such as the “Foundation,” the “Furnace,” and the “Whale Pod,” all coveting “Anomalous Curiosities” and the “Mystery of the Tower.” Caught between opposing forces, Lin Fan proceeds with caution, using the System’s abilities to find hidden bargains, force trades, and even glimpse loopholes in the rules. He grows from prey that can only flee into a player who shapes events on the level of the rules, turning enemies against one another. He explores the Antarctic Hollow and enters the Paradox Corridor. At last, using the “Paradox Lock” as his key, he fools the System’s security check and steps into the Tower’s inner passage, heading straight for the ultimate secret.
