(Two male leads, both devoted to each other, ensemble cast, slow burn, past and present lives)
A cultivation-and-redemption story with an irreverent take on cultivation. Everyone has their own story, unfolding at an unhurried pace. (The secondary couple's storyline is currently being updated.)
Mo Zhu went down the mountain at his master's command to gain experience, hoping to take it easy and build up his credentials. Who could have guessed he would find another version of himself at the foot of the mountain?
They had the same features and bearing, yet utterly different temperaments: one was quiet and reserved, the other lively and carefree.
Looking at Song Lang, whose blood was connected to his own, Mo Zhu felt his heart stir. From then on, he embarked on a laid-back path to strength, cultivating irreverently while staying by Song Lang's side to help him heal.
His master was in seclusion and wouldn't handle anything, so Mo Zhu tossed aside all the sect's affairs. What did the outside world's conflicts have to do with him?
While other cultivators fought for power and wealth and sought to reach the heavens, Mo Zhu only wanted to unravel the secrets of fate connecting him and Song Lang.
Song Lang fled across scorched earth and the bones of his family. Following the national preceptor's prophecy, he traveled west for months, making his way from Zhongzhou to Baiyu Town in Xiling.
All to find someone he had never met.
That person could become an immortal, defy heaven, restore his homeland, and help him let go of his obsession.
Mo Zhu stood there, stunned. He had only come down the mountain to fetch a jug of spring dew wine for his master, yet out of nowhere, a dust-covered youth who looked exactly like him had latched on and refused to let go.
He didn't know it yet:
That first encounter was a bond inextricably bound by fate, a cause and effect the two of them would never be able to sever for the rest of their lives.
