Wails of the Fallen: Ten Days After the City Fell [Rewrite]

(This novel is adapted from the game of the same name. Only the main storyline has been retained, while the characters, their personalities, and the plot have all been significantly changed.) That year, the blood spilled in Yangzhou City stained the white mourning banners hanging throughout the city red. Horses trampled over the fallen as if they were worn-out leather. The river ran crimson for seven days, and no one dared to collect the dead, to weep, or to prove they had ever lived.

Scholars, courtesans, wandering heroes, soldiers, noblewomen... Some fought to survive, some tried to save others, some slaughtered, and some sought to repay their debts...

This is not a story about heroes. It is a story about people.

(This is my first time writing, and I haven’t figured out the difference between volumes and chapters. I hope you’ll be patient and understanding. Thank you.)
