My Transmigration Failed: I Ended Up in the Resource-Starved Sixties

Lin Wan, a modern-day office drone who dies suddenly from working overtime, transmigrates by accident to the 1960s, an era of extreme scarcity. She becomes an orphan with no one to rely on, on the brink of starving to death. From fainting with hunger, surviving on foraged wild greens, and being bullied and humiliated, to unexpectedly awakening a portable space and finding a way out, she struggles to survive famine and bitter winters. As she grits her teeth and adapts to those harsh years, she remains fixated on returning to her modern home.

In her darkest days, she meets kind and helpful neighbors and upright, warmhearted educated youths sent to the countryside. She experiences both the warmth and coldness of human nature, while guarding a faint light in her heart. From wanting only to escape, to gradually being moved by others' kindness, and then to finding stability and a bountiful harvest, she grows through two entirely different worlds.

A disturbance in the flow of time finally sends her back to the modern world, but she can't stop thinking about the people she left behind in the other world. When the space opens again, she returns to her old home to say a proper goodbye and finally let go of her longing.

An unexpected journey through time and a turbulent stretch of years teach her that home is not a particular era. It's about cherishing the present and keeping kindness in your heart. Wherever you find peace, there is home.
