My Little Pony: The Cybertronian Engineer Just Wants to Make Friends

[My Little Pony + Transformers + Slow Burn]

When Shockwave begins an unethical, forbidden experiment, a soul from Earth accidentally enters an empty mechanical shell with no soul of its own, unexpectedly igniting a unique spark within him.

Due to a defect caused by the experiment, this warrior is undersized and can’t even transform. He is forced to join the Decepticons. The stifling, cold atmosphere, the constant exclusion and bullying from his fellow soldiers, and the death of a friend drive him to shut away his heart completely. In the end, he becomes a cold machine who only follows orders and never speaks, though he has no choice in the matter.

Then he dies in a laboratory explosion. He believes he will finally fade away and return to the Allspark, but when he opens his eyes again, he finds himself in an endless, lush primeval forest. Years of suppression and obedience are etched deep into his spark. Without an order, Soundboard cannot act on his own, so he sits quietly on a cold rock for a whole month.

Then one day, a pale-yellow pony wearing a huge bow is chased relentlessly by several fierce timberwolves and blunders into his line of sight.

The will that has lain dormant in his heart suddenly awakens. Instinctively, he strikes back and drives the timberwolves away. With the danger past, two very different beings meet.

“Hey, big guy, I’m Apple Bloom. What’s your name?”

“My name is… Soundboard.”
