What kind of storm will erupt when a top figure willingly casts aside his glory and dives alone into the merciless world of the football association?
Lin Hao, the greatest head coach in the history of domestic football, turned down an annual salary worth tens of millions amid a chorus of online mockery, then took a seat in the football association's most overlooked office.
In this mire of short-sightedness and quick fixes, corrupted by bureaucracy and capital, his only weapons are an astonishingly broad strategic vision and a “ruthlessly sharp eye” that can see ten years into the future!
Pressure from the higher-ups? He smiles on the surface, then sends capital crashing with an impeccable list of players to send overseas!
Mockery from foreign media? His genius protégé scores a hat trick on a European pitch, smashing every last doubt!
When wealthy Middle Eastern interests try to manipulate Asian football politics and the South Korean football association plots to suppress him, Lin Hao has already laid a vast net at the negotiating table.
From a marginalized figure at home to the hidden hand controlling the AFC from behind the scenes.
“If you can't play football properly, then I'll teach you how to beat each other to death within the rules!”
