Synopsis
Xiao Tianshou is an upright official who struggles to get by in government and eventually retires to the mountains. In retaliation, the evildoers known as the “Five Ghosts of Sichuan” slaughter his entire family. Only his youngest son, Xiao Chengyuan, is rescued by the eccentric elder Yu Shan Shusheng, who takes him to Mount Hua and teaches him martial arts. While training, Chengyuan accidentally discovers a martial arts manual left behind by an eccentric elder in a cave, and happens to eat a Vermilion Immortal Fruit, causing his martial arts skills to improve by leaps and bounds. Several years later, he descends the mountain on behalf of his master, enters the jianghu, and searches for his enemies to avenge his parents.
