Known as the world's strongest man, Russian boxer Dadylov is the son of an executioner who suppressed the Boxer Rebellion and was later killed by the Boxers. Dadylov himself is ferocious and violent, with superb boxing skills. In just two or three years, he toured 46 countries across Europe, Africa, and the Far East, defeating every fighter he encountered. Many boxers died beneath his fists and feet. But his true target is China, not any other country. He claims he will crush the Chinese martial arts world to avenge his father and ensure the Russian Empire's prestige endures in China for generations. On the ship bound for Tianjin, he publicly insulted a Chinese merchant and a Chinese student. After arriving in Tianjin, he brutally murdered a Chinese rickshaw puller. Tulaev, chairman of the Russian concession council and general manager of the Emerald Trading Company, and his associates, who are organizing the challenge matches, also resort to various provocations against the Chinese martial arts world. Faced with the Russian madman's vengeful ambitions, Chinese martial arts patriots are outraged. He Dahai, head of the Shenzhou Martial Arts Academy, is the first to take his disciples into the ring. Using his superb skills, he knocks Dadylov's assistants Misha and Bichika out of the ring. But on his way back to the academy, He Dahai is ambushed by the Emerald Trading Company and hospitalized with severe injuries, leaving him unable to face Dadylov.
Dongfang Xu, the new head of the Shenzhou Martial Arts Academy and a veteran of the Boxer Rebellion, boldly accepts the challenge and signs a contract pledging his life. With his signature Divine Palm technique, he strikes Dadylov out of the ring, ending the Russian madman's life. But Dongfang Xu also falls into an assassination trap laid in advance by the Emerald Trading Company and nearly dies. Only with He Dahai's self-sacrificing protection and the help of Song Qing, a police officer with a strong sense of justice, does he manage to escape and go into exile.
