At Last, She Stopped Running Away

She waited a long time. Ever since the first dinner, when Gu Qi put a piece of pork rib in her bowl. “Kids should like this.” Gu Qi’s tone was casual, as if she were saying something perfectly ordinary. Yu Ke’s ears turned red. Back then, she had no idea she would remember that piece of pork rib for years. When she got jealous “Auntie Gu, why do you smell like perfume?” Yu Ke’s voice was soft, as if testing the waters. Gu Qi looked at her evasive gaze, and a strange sense of satisfaction welled up inside her. “You’ve got a sharp nose for a kid. I’ll be careful next time and won’t let anyone get too close.” That was the first promise she made to her. Yu Ke remembered it for a long time. She waited for her for a year. She waited for her for a lifetime. Neither of them had waited in vain. “Qiqi, do you regret it?” Yu Ke asked. Gu Qi thought for a moment. “I regret meeting you so late.” Yu Ke smiled. “Me too.” Age gap + happy ending
