The Laid-Back Tang Monk, Becoming a Sage from the Start While Hiding the Truth from Heaven

After working overtime for three days straight, Tang Shen dropped dead. When he woke up, he had become Tang Sanzang from Journey to the West. Before he could recover from his shock, a chime rang in his mind: "The from the start slacker System has successfully bound itself to you! Detected: This is the tenth calamity of the Journey to the West. The previous nine attempts all failed for various reasons, so the Heavenly Dao and the Buddhas have lowered their expectations this time. Newcomer gift pack awarded: Sainthood-level cultivation (automatically concealed), Heaven-Deceiving skill (those above the Saint level cannot divine your fate). Host, please begin your performance."

Tang Shen, who now had to be called Tang Sanzang, touched his smooth, bald head and looked around at Emperor Taizong of Tang Li Shimin kneeling in the Golden Hall, the civil and military officials standing solemnly on either side, and the faint apparition of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the sky. In his previous life, he'd been worked to death as a corporate drone. And now he was supposed to walk a hundred and eight thousand li to fetch the scriptures? He sneered inwardly.
