Night Watchman at the Hospital: Slaying Wraiths to Protect the Mortal Realm

Beneath the city, strange and uncanny beings run rampant. The darkness in the human world goes unseen. On the surface, Lingcheng No. 7 Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center is an asylum cut off from the world. In truth, it is a secret stronghold where the Night Watch Division’s remaining fighters hunt the uncanny. The patients here are no madmen. They are guardians who once fought the uncanny in bloody battles and were left gravely wounded. Shen Ci, a college student born with the “Eye of Spirit Sight,” witnesses the truth of the uncanny devouring souls and is mistakenly diagnosed and sent to the hospital. In this prison labeled “madness,” he encounters an ancient-curse master pretending to be deranged and a former top fighter whose power has been sealed, uncovering the hospital’s shocking hidden secret. With a strange mark clinging to him, seals weakening, and the uncanny striking back, darkness invisible to ordinary people engulfs the city. Shen Ci takes up the blade that slays the uncanny, using madness as his shield and remnant souls as his spear. He trains in lethal arts within the hospital to protect the lights of countless homes. “Don’t be afraid. I’m a Night Watcher.” Those “madmen” misunderstood by the world are the last line of defense, standing in the shadows to protect humanity.
