Synopsis

I transmigrate into Journey to the West as Tang Sanzang, smoking, slacking off, and turning the tables on immortals and Buddhas. I stand up to Mount Ling and refuse to wear the tightening headband, protecting Wukong’s freedom for life and defying fate to rewrite the destiny of the entire Journey to the West! I talk back to Guanyin, infuriate Tathagata, and make Sun Wukong cry with my schemes. The more trouble I cause, the more merit I earn. I trade for Chinese cigarettes, immortal-demon Gatling guns, and bizarre magical treasures, having a blast all the way. The immortals and Buddhas of Heaven want to claim all the merit? Sorry, from today on, all the merit from Journey to the West belongs to me! I hope you’ll enjoy it. Your support inspires me to write, and I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
