Kidnapped to Northern Myanmar, I Defied Fate

An accident led to my being kidnapped and taken to northern Myanmar.

In this hell of endless darkness and suffering, I witnessed too much despair and heard too many cries. I was trampled and bullied like an animal, until even staying alive became a luxury.

I used to be timid and weak, always swallowing my grievances. I was bullied all my life and couldn’t even hold on to a shred of dignity.

But in this desperate situation, I no longer wanted to let others control my fate.

I clawed my way up from the depths of hell and changed my destiny against all odds, fighting my way to survival with all the fury and determination I had.

This time, I’ll take back everything that belongs to me, live with dignity, and never again be an ant for others to crush at will.
