I'm the County Magistrate in the Underworld

Hou Chuan served as a county Party secretary in the mortal world for thirty years. Exhausted by overwork, he died in office. Only after his death did he learn that there were government posts in the underworld, too. A transfer order from Fengdu sent him to be the county magistrate of Wangxiang County, the most chaotic place in the underworld. Here, the tyrant Ghost King had been praised by everyone as a great philanthropist in life, but became a ruthless bully after death. Here, the miserable ghosts who had suffered abuse in life became fearsome fiends after death. Here, brothers from the mortal world became enemies after death, while enemies from life became friends willing to risk their lives for each other. Looking at the mess before him, Hou Chuan said just one thing: “In the mortal world, I did right by the people. In the underworld, I’ll do right by my conscience.” Watch as this veteran secretary from the mortal world uses his “wisdom of the system” to turn the underworld upside down and reshape the cycle between yin and yang.
