Ice-Fishing Alone on the Cold River: The Storm in Guancheng

Jia Rushi is a clever and capable young woman born into the Jia family, the wealthiest family in Guancheng. She has three sisters: Jia Ji, Jia Xiang, Jia Ru, and Jia Yi. In the struggle over who will inherit the family fortune, her eldest sister Jia Ji joins forces with her third and fourth sisters and pushes Jia Ru off a cliff. She is saved just in time by Ximen Kang, a peerless martial arts master. Jia Ru and Ximen Kang join forces to investigate who was behind it, but every step is fraught with difficulty. They pit their wits against Guancheng’s most powerful families, and as they spend more time together, Jia Ru and Ximen Kang fall in love and eventually marry. To their delight, Jia Ru gives birth to twin boys, whom they name Ximen Zuo and Ximen You. Both boys turn out to be martial arts prodigies. Eighteen years later, they become the famed Ximen Twin Heroes, renowned throughout the martial arts world.
