Guardians of the National Treasures: The New Nine Gates

The first generation of the Old Nine Gates has passed into history, and a new Nine Gates has emerged. During the Republican era, the Nine Gates, led by Zhang Qishan, also known as Buddha Zhang, fought the Japanese in Changsha and made their contribution to the birth of New China. Many years later, although their descendants no longer pursue the tomb-raiding business of their forebears, patriotism and a desire to serve their country and people still run in their veins. The descendants of the Nine Gates continue to protect cultural relics in their own way and fight tomb raiders. They have also established a cultural relics association and appraisal fairs to help safeguard these treasures. When it comes to national treasures that have ended up overseas, they spare no expense to buy them back and donate them to the country free of charge.
