The Tang Blade in Blood 2

In 778 CE, the Tang dynasty teeters on the brink of collapse.

Regional warlords carve up the realm, eunuchs seize power, and the court is in turmoil.

Li Qing, Prince of Liang, controls thirty prefectures in the northwest and commands an army of 300,000 Northern Liang iron cavalry, poised to conquer the realm.

To stabilize the situation, Li Qing sends his second son, Li Shu, to Chang'an as a hostage.

The third son of the Prince of Liang, Li Shu, is sixteen years old.

People in Chang'an all laugh: the Prince of Liang must be scared, sending his son here to die in his place.

No one knows that this boy once beheaded seventeen men on the battlefields beyond the northern desert without batting an eye.

Chang'an is filled with powerful nobles and roiling undercurrents. Eunuchs, imperial relatives, warlords, and civil officials tear at one another in the shadows.

The hostage residence is a gilded cage, and countless eyes wait to see how this boy will die.

But the one who arrives is a silent god of slaughter.

On his first day in the city, he cuts off the head of a deputy general of the Divine Strategy Army.

On his first day at court, he leaves the chancellor speechless.

In Chang'an, he kills so ruthlessly that the city's powerful nobles lie awake in fear.

In Liangzhou, Prince Li Qing laughs aloud: Now that's a son worthy of me!

Li Xiang, heir to the Northern Liang throne, sends word from a thousand miles away: Little brother, go easy on the killing. Leave a few people for the court.

At last, the noble families and powerful clans who have been trembling under their blankets understand one thing: Some people are born to be blades. Wherever you put them, they will kill.
