· Set in a futuristic city where ABO society is highly modernized, though the upper classes still treat pheromone compatibility as a bargaining chip for marriage alliances.
· Pheromones can experience “resonance”: in a very small number of AO pairs, a profound bond surpasses compatibility ratings. Their pheromones can heal each other and extend their lifespans.
· “Ash Syndrome”: some Omegas suppress their instincts for so long that their pheromones become unstable and their bodies deteriorate year by year. Only a bond with an Alpha with whom they share deep resonance can reverse it.
