I Transmigrated to Ancient Times and Became a Prince by Squandering Money

Jiang Xinyue, a modern-day rich girl who loves to squander money, transmigrates into the body of a miserly princess in ancient times. While others transmigrate and work themselves to the bone to make money, she’s forced to spend it as fast as she can. But the more she squanders, the richer she gets, rising from a prisoner to a prince equal in rank to the emperor.

The emperor sees her vast fortune and the taxes she’s failed to pay, and issues an order: spend it all within three months, or lose your head.

Jiang Xinyue grins. “Spend money? That’s my specialty.”

She buys counterfeits and resells them at a profit under the label “Princess-Approved.” She opens a restaurant and recoups her costs through membership cards after three days of free meals. Sent to relieve disaster victims, she pays them to work and unearths a massive iron mine. Sent to squander money in an enemy kingdom, she launches a Double Eleven shopping festival on the grasslands, opens a bank, and issues grassland currency. The Northern Di people spend themselves into ruin, while she becomes the richest person on the grasslands.

The emperor is furious but can’t do anything about it, so he names her the “Prince of Squander” and sends her off to wreak havoc in enemy lands.

But she doesn’t spare even the enemy kingdom. She replaces war with trade and buys peace. Three once-hostile nations sign a permanent peace treaty because of her.

She marries Huyan Lie, the strongest warrior on the grasslands, and gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Once a pawn forced to squander her wealth, she becomes the “Greatest Merchant Under Heaven,” determined to leave no one in poverty.

In the end, she travels the world with her husband, leaving behind one famous saying:

“Squandering? My motto is: the more I spend, the richer I get.”
