In the early 1960s, Mo Lin, a sent-down youth, dutifully sees off Lao Liu, a lonely old man from the village. He receives the jade pendant Lao Liu left behind and accidentally unlocks a pocket dimension. Then one day, a bloodied woman suddenly appears before him. When he learns that she is a narcotics police officer from 2025, he is shocked and finds it hard to believe. In the end, Mu Yao, a woman from the future, works hard to prove the truth and dispel Mo Lin’s suspicions. Mu Yao never expected to end up in the 1960s while on the brink of death. She frets over the shabby house and her ragged clothes, but by her reckoning, she still has more than a decade of hardship ahead. To make life a little better, Mu Yao starts figuring out ways for her and Mo Lin to work hard together. She can’t stay poor forever. She wants white flour, rice, and meat…
