At the farewell ceremony for Tang Sanzang's journey to obtain the scriptures, Emperor Taizong personally addresses him as his imperial brother and offers him wine.
Tang Sanzang wears a five-Buddha crown with a golden crest and a brocade kasaya.
At such a solemn moment, he looks around, up and down, then finally stares at Emperor Taizong, eyes wide and bulging.
Seeing Tang Sanzang act so strangely, Emperor Taizong cannot help lowering the cup of plain wine he has raised and asking, "Imperial Brother, is there something you wish to tell me?"
Only then does Tang Sanzang realize that his behavior just now doesn't fit his role.
But then he thinks about it: he's just a man from Earth in his thirties who still hasn't gotten married. He's used to doing as he pleases and doesn't like being constrained.
So he decides not to worry about it.
He already knows that this is the day Tang Sanzang sets out to obtain the scriptures, which means the man before him must be Emperor Taizong of Tang.
He has only just transmigrated into Tang Sanzang's body, though, and hasn't gotten used to the role yet.
But when he thinks about having to go obtain the scriptures, he wants nothing to do with it. He really doesn't want to go!
