Synopsis:

Lin Yao thought meeting Chen Ran was the only glimmer of light in her bleak life. He was gentle and considerate, her entire world of hope and salvation. Until, at their engagement party, he personally pushed her into hell. The poor student “Chen Ran” she loved so deeply turned out to be Xu Yanran, the Xu Corporation's CEO, a man who stood high above the clouds. He exposed her supposed scheme to climb the social ladder in front of everyone, then watched as she fell from heaven into the mud, her reputation ruined and everything taken from her.

Later, she really did become a cleaner at his company, nearly dying of a high fever in a restroom stall.

Later, eyes bloodshot, he locked her in a hospital room and kept watch over her day and night, only to hear her say, her heart turned to ash, “Xu Yanran, is your love really just trampling me into the mud, then pretending to care as you dig me out?”

Later, she stood on the rooftop where he had once destroyed her, watching the first snow fall. Smiling, she said, “The world is beautiful, but I don't want to come back to it.”

At last, Xu Yanran understood that the one he had lost with his own hands was the only girl who had ever truly loved him. But love that comes too late is worth less than grass. Only when he stood at the edge of that same abyss did he understand how much she had suffered.

“This time, I'll be the one to find you.”
