The Bow God: Chang'e

Chang'e is not Hou Yi's discarded wife, nor is she a helpless woman imprisoned in the Moon Palace. She is the heir to the Bow God and the wielder of the God-Slaying Bow. She was so three thousand years ago, and she still is three thousand years later. Hou Yi came on the Heavenly Emperor's orders to seize the God-Slaying Bow. He broke the Moon Palace's seal and released the vengeful spirits of three thousand heavenly soldiers. Chang'e stopped holding back. She shot down a Golden Crow, broke free of the God-Locking Chains, and revealed the Heavenly Emperor's true nature to the Three Realms: he was using all living beings as sacrifices to activate a baleful energy formation and devour the power sealed away in ancient times. Three thousand years of waiting, three thousand years of restraint, all became the point of her arrow in that moment. “I've put up with this for long enough. All I needed was a reason to stop.” This is a story about someone trampled into the mud by fate, who then bloomed from it. Chang'e spent three thousand years learning to let go, and proved with a single arrow that she was never a helpless woman.
