The Koi Princess Consort with a Jinxing Tongue

Shen Yuxi transmigrates into the body of a general's legitimate daughter, only to start off in a ridiculous mix-up where her corpse is carried out of the house. After barely coming back to life, she discovers that her stepmother has set her up and added her to the list of candidates for Prince Jing'an's bride. Xiao Heng, the Prince of Jing'an, is known throughout the capital as a living demon confined to a wheelchair. Marrying him would mean becoming a widow in all but name. Shen Yuxi accepts her fate. She was a struggling writer in her modern life, so at least here she'd have food to eat. She makes up her mind to act sweet, timid, and invisible, and coast through life until she dies. But at the bride-selection ceremony, she says something that seems to curse the Crown Prince's horse into a frenzy. She only mutters, “That horse looks a little strange. What if it goes crazy in a minute?” And then it really does go crazy, charging straight at the Crown Prince. The crowd erupts into chaos. In her panic, she stumbles backward, misses a step, and “flies” off the platform, landing squarely in Prince Jing'an Xiao Heng's arms and overturning his wheelchair. They tumble together and lock eyes. Shen Yuxi screams inside: I'm done for, I'm done for, I'm going to be beheaded! Xiao Heng's pupils contract in shock. He heard her thoughts. From then on, the Prince of Jing'an has a new pastime: listening to his lucky-bride's inner monologue. She says, “Your Highness, I have a feeling someone will try to take you down at court tomorrow.” The next day, someone does indeed impeach Xiao Heng. She says, “Why does this soup look like it might be poisoned?” The very next moment, the food taster collapses on the spot. Sitting in his wheelchair, Xiao Heng watches the woman before him, who looks completely innocent while inwardly freaking out: What the hell, what the hell, how did I get it right again? The corner of his mouth lifts slightly. I've struck gold.
