Fake Heiress? Mr. Gu’s Hilarious Lifesaving Cure!

Lin Xiaoman, a no-name actress, lives by the motto, “If I lie low enough, no role can land on me.” Then one day, the Gu Group hires her for the staggering sum of ten thousand a day. Her assignment: impersonate their missing heiress and cheer up an elderly man suffering from severe depression.

Everyone expects a scheming substitute in a tortured love-triangle drama. Instead, things take such a bizarre turn that they’re almost unbearable.

On her first day, Lin Xiaoman steps on a banana peel, sending her wig flying straight into the face of the icy CEO, Gu Yushen. Then she executes a flawless Thomas-spin-style fall and lands spectacularly on her knees in front of the old man’s wheelchair. Gu Yushen coolly produces a one-meter ruler. “Keep your distance or I’ll dock your pay.” But the very next day, he discovers that this “substitute,” trying to help the old man claim the prime spot in a square-dancing contest, has pinned him to the sofa and is forcing him to learn “The Drunken Butterfly.”

And so the wealthy family’s entire way of life descends into chaos. Lin Xiaoman drives away corporate spies with the smell of luosifen, puts on a watermelon-chopping show at a board meeting, and even drags Gu Yushen into a livestream to sell duck necks. The once gloomy and somber Gu household now rings with cheesy pick-up lines, ridiculous dances, and inexplicable comic disasters.

When the real heiress and family’s white moonlight returns with a DNA report, the whole family is busy showering Lin Xiaoman’s livestream with virtual rockets. “There’s no love here! Whoever wants this lousy job can have it. I’m going back to playing corpses!”

This is a laugh-out-loud romance about a goofy young woman who stumbles into a wealthy family, heals their wounds with laughter, and turns an icy CEO into her very own ATM. After all, who could resist a substitute girlfriend who calls you “legendary, bro” while treating you like a king?
