A Thorny Love Letter, She Seals Her Blade with a Kiss

On her wedding day, Wen Ning discovers she's pregnant. The father is her husband, Gu Chengze.

Before she can tell him, she hears him speaking softly with his first love outside the dressing room: “Marrying her was just a temporary measure... Weiwei, you're the one I love.”

Her phone vibrates. A message from the hospital reads: “Ms. Wen, would you like to confirm the termination of your pregnancy?”

Later...

“Mr. Fu, marry me. I'll help you destroy the Gu family, and you can help me get revenge on everyone.”

And so begins a marriage of mutual convenience.

She plays the obedient wife while secretly recording her enemies' disgraceful behavior, using memories from her past life to strike at the Gu family's lifeline. As she watches him pine away for his first love, she smiles radiantly in the arms of his new flame.

Everyone says Wen Ning is crazy, climbing aboard Fu Jingxing's poisonous tree. They're sure she'll be used up and discarded sooner or later.

Until one night, Fu Jingxing pins her against the wall of a darkroom, his voice hoarse. “I don't like the way Xie Yun looks at you.” She smiles and reminds him, “Mr. Fu, clause three of our contract says we won't interfere in each other's private lives.”

He tears up the contract and throws her pregnancy test results onto the table. “What about this child, then? Wen Ning, the rules of the game have changed. From now on, I'm the only one in your private life.”

Later, on the day the Gu family goes bankrupt, Gu Chengze kneels in the pouring rain, begging her to come back. Fu Jingxing arrives with an umbrella and wraps an arm around her waist, smiling at the wretched man.

“Mr. Gu, you're too late. She's now my spoiled Mrs. Fu. You'd better ask my permission before you even touch her.”
