My Fair Princess: The Twin Beauties of Fengque Palace

In the Forbidden City during the height of the Qianlong era, two exceptionally gifted young women lived deep within the imperial palace: Gurun Princess Chenghuan and Heshuo Princess Qing'er. They were cousins, and more importantly, each other's closest friends.

Chenghuan, the eldest daughter of Empress Fucha and Qianlong's most beloved princess, was poised, clever, and astute. She looked down on the crude “princess from the common folk,” Xiaoyanzi, and disliked Ziwei's calculated attempts to find her father. Qing'er, the orphaned daughter of Prince Yu, had grown up under the Empress Dowager's care. Gentle yet resilient, she always kept her head and her dignity amid the turmoil.

When Xiaoyanzi and Ziwei stirred up a wave of trouble in the palace, Chenghuan and Qing'er chose to watch from the sidelines, only to be drawn into deeper undercurrents as a result. Consort Ling was ambitious, hoping to use marriages between the two princesses and the Fucha family to consolidate her power. Schemes and plots followed one after another. Then two young men entered the princesses' hearts: Fucha Mingrui, commander of the Imperial Guards, and the young general Fucha Mingchong.

Mingrui was stern and devoted, and had secretly loved Chenghuan for years, protecting her with his life. Mingchong was passionate and straightforward. He fell for Qing'er at first sight and pursued her fervently. The two couples weathered palace intrigue, political machinations, and the rise and fall of their families. From childhood sweethearts to lifelong partners, they spent their lives proving what it meant to have “one love, for all of one's life.”

Two princesses stand side by side, their phoenixes singing to the heavens. This is a story of female friendship and extraordinary love, following two noble souls as they forge their own legends within the inner palace.
