You Sent Me Down the Mountain to Survive My Tribulation, So I Turned My Counselor into a Jiangshi

[Urban + Taoist Priest + Supernatural + Mystery + Power Fantasy + Invincible + Character Growth + Playing the Fool]

My counselor is dying.

She has terminal cancer. The doctor says she has at most three months.

She didn't cry or make a scene. She just called me into her office and handed me a bottle of cola.

“Little Taoist, I want to ask you something.”

“Can you turn me into a zombie?”

“I don't want to die. I want to watch you graduate.”

I fell silent.

Corpse refinement is a forbidden art. The result is a mindless, soulless walking corpse with no memories.

That wouldn't be her anymore.

But after turning my master's chest inside out, I found a page from a lost scroll: the Soul Anchoring Method.

Once refined, her soul would remain intact, and she would keep all her memories.

There was just one side effect: she would become increasingly dependent on my blood, and lose control if she were away from me.

I slapped the fragment down on the desk. “I'll do it.”

“But once it's done, you have to listen to me.”

She smiled like a kid who'd just snuck a piece of candy. “Deal.”

Only later did I realize I was the one who'd lost out on this bargain.
