When Qi Can woke up, there were only two strangers beside her.
One was as solid as an iron tower, quiet and taciturn. The other was a strange, rambling person who claimed to be able to “sense” danger. The three of them stared at one another, none of them knowing how they had ended up in this ghostly place.
Then they heard the first chime of a bell.
“Welcome to the Land of the Mind. Clear every instance to leave. Those who fail...”
The voice paused, as if laughing.
“...will remain here and become part of the next instance.”
A school, a hotel, a hospital, a newspaper office... Eight instances, eight lives. The rules were bizarre, the bosses unreasonable, and every death more outrageous than the last.
But Qi Can soon noticed something was wrong:
These instances seemed especially “familiar” with her.
She always found loopholes in the rules faster than anyone else, instinctively avoided deadly traps, and even the bosses looked at her with an indescribable expression.
They didn’t look at her like an enemy, but more like... someone they hadn’t seen in a long time.
Qi Can didn’t know what it meant.
She knew only one thing: survive, clear the instances, and get out.
As for the secrets hidden behind them...
She’d think about that after she made it out alive.
