The Chancellor’s Little Glutton Is the Crown Prince’s Darling

Xu Zhiyi’s soul transmigrates into the body of a foolish concubine-born daughter of the prime minister’s household. She unexpectedly awakens an ancient Primal Chaos storage pouch with infinite space and frozen time, able to hide any treasure or delicacy at her whim. Faced with a harsh stepmother and bullying sisters, she acts crazy and foolish in public, but secretly stashes the household’s rare ingredients, her stepmother’s hidden possessions, and the silver she’s been denied. She uses it all to feed herself and her birth mother while amassing a staggering fortune.

After sneaking out of the estate for a snack, she collides with the crown prince traveling incognito. They squabble over food, trade barbs, and watch her play the fool, but the prince sees through her act. When her elder sister’s schemes and her concubine aunt’s plots come one after another, she acts deranged to turn the tables, while slipping evidence and stolen silver into her pouch along the way, carving out a place for herself in the prime minister’s household.

Determined to leave and start a business, she turns her storage pouch into a “mobile warehouse,” with no losses in transit and her account books always at hand. Her pastry shop, perfumery, and clothing store become hits in the capital, making her a wealthy woman in secret. Meanwhile, the crown prince goes from helping her behind the scenes to defending her openly, from jealous bickering to a heartfelt confession, until she finally lets down her guard. When her stepmother obstructs her and the court voices its disapproval, she produces the evidence from her pouch, brings the villains down, and saves her birth mother. Though born a concubine’s daughter, she wins the crown prince’s vow: “I will marry no one but you.”

On their wedding day, a ten-mile wedding procession dazzles the whole city, and the treasures hidden in her storage pouch give her even more confidence. Once she enters the Eastern Palace, she puts away her mad act and uses her cleverness to secure her place, standing shoulder to shoulder with the crown prince. That storage pouch, which can never be filled, remains stuffed with all the beloved things she loves to hoard. It is a testament to how they met in humble times and stayed together through their prosperity.
