Ghosts now killed according to rules, and no longer appeared wherever they pleased. There were exceptions, though. When players failed to clear a scenario, a haunting would descend upon the real world. If these scenarios were not cleared from reality regularly, they would spread through real-world territory and steadily squeeze humanity’s living space. Everything seemed to be improving bit by bit, but some scenarios remained impossible for ordinary people to clear. It was nothing more than a slow death. Even after people discovered they could use ghosts to kill other ghosts, some scenarios still proved impossible to deal with. Just as humanity began its interstellar migration plan, the paranormal sealed off the sky, trapping everyone who wanted to leave. But as humanity faced a slow death, two people appeared, bringing a turning point and new hope. They possessed the demon-slaying powers of Taoist priests from the movies, a power one of them called the Ten Kings’ Edicts.
