You’re Showing Off with That Piece of Junk Sword. Aren’t You Afraid of Getting Struck by Lightning?

[Cultivation] [Face-slapping] [Nation and family] [Admirers] A world combining modern cultivation and high-level martial arts. A hundred years after the spiritual qi revival, sects, prominent clans, and national powers coexist, but sword cultivators are considered the most prestigious and pretentious profession. Protagonist: Lin Zhou is an unremarkable-looking young man who is actually the Host of the Heavenly Retribution System. Others cultivate through spiritual qi; he cultivates by “getting struck by lightning.” The sword in his hand really is a rusty, nearly broken “junk sword,” but it's a System-issued “lightning rod/lightning attractor” and a vessel for the laws of the Heavenly Dao. Golden finger: The Heavenly Retribution System. Whenever someone shows off in front of him, especially with a sword, the System judges that they've “offended the majesty of heaven” and sends down heavenly lightning. Lin Zhou administers punishment on heaven's behalf. The harder the strike, the faster his cultivation rises and the more his junk sword is repaired.
