Republican Era: Brother, Surely You Don't Want Anyone to Know

If you transmigrated alongside your best friend and became his System, able to assign him missions, what would you make him do? Xia Chen: “You mean... I’m someone’s System now, and I can give him missions?” System God: “That’s right. You can assign him missions and earn System rewards.” Xia Chen: “Then... what do I get?” System God: “Nothing at all.” Xia Chen: “I spent my whole life as a workhorse. I transmigrate and I’m still a workhorse? Keep dreaming!” Xia Chen turns and walks away. Who’d want to be this lousy System? Suddenly, the System God says mildly, “But what if... the person who transmigrated is your best friend?” Xia Chen immediately turns back, rubbing his hands together with a fawning smile. “Well, I suppose it doesn’t really matter who it is. I just like helping people.” “Buddy, you’ve got eight lifetimes’ worth of good karma to thank for ending up in my hands. Heh heh heh!”
