Great Qin: I Made the First Emperor His Own Biggest Hater

Xu Ye, an overworked history graduate, dies suddenly after working overtime. When he opens his eyes, he has become a System inside Qin Shi Huang’s mind. From the start, he finds himself at the scene of the book burning and burying of scholars. He immediately lets loose: “Fools! You call this burying scholars? This is the state cleaning out nitwits who spread rumors!” Ying Zheng is both shocked and furious, convinced that a demon has possessed him. Xu Ye issues his first mission: [Correct history’s slander and rebuild the foundations of Great Qin]. Reward: seeds for high-yield crops. From then on, the First Emperor begins a life of being bossed around by the System. After being roasted until he doubts his own existence, Ying Zheng discovers that although the System has a sharp tongue, its ideas are brilliant: award military merit based on prisoners captured, and the population skyrockets; send Prince Fusu to the frontier, where he becomes an iron-willed heir; pave roads with concrete and blast open mountains with black powder, and Great Qin skips two thousand years straight into overdrive on infrastructure. Strike north against the Xiongnu, conquer the Baiyue in the south, defeat Rome, absorb the Maurya Empire... When Ying Zheng stands in the Hall of the Universe to receive the homage of governors from across the globe, the System suddenly flashes a red alert: [Countdown to planar invasion]. Ying Zheng draws his sword and gazes up at the stars. “This time, I’ll face it with you.”
