War of Resistance: Fighting the Japanese with Geography

In 1942, Li Yannong, a top geology student at Yenching University forced to return to his hometown after Beiping fell, faces the bloody onslaught of the Japanese army's May First Sweep. He realizes that the villagers' traditional hiding caves and homemade land mines are no match for the enemy's systematic campaign of eradication.

At this desperate moment, he activates his golden finger: [Unlimited Stamina]. His frail scholar's body becomes that of a tireless "construction maniac."

Using his geological surveying expertise, he plans a scientific, sturdy, and fully equipped underground combat network for the entire village. With structural mechanics, he designs escape routes resistant to cave-ins, poison gas, and flooding. And with basic chemistry, he uses whatever materials are at hand to improve gunpowder recipes, upgrading the land mines into a whole series of devilish traps, directional mines, and even makeshift incendiary bombs that leave the Japanese army trembling at the very mention of them.

His talent soon draws the attention of the county brigade and Yamamoto Takehiko, a Japanese military engineering expert.

Thus begins an underground battle of attack and defense, a struggle of "digging" versus "filling in," of "burying" versus "clearing out." Starting out with nothing more in mind than protecting his family, Li Yannong gradually grows into the base area's "King of Earthworks" and "Demolition Genius." Using the land as his chessboard, he engages Yamamoto Takehiko in one thrilling battle of wits after another, until he turns the ground beneath their feet into a vast graveyard for the invaders.
