Sent Down to the Great Northern Wilderness, I Turned My Life Around with Three Kids in Tow

In 1970, Shen Weidong transmigrates into the body of a young intellectual on a Beidahuang farm who has been framed. The original owner was falsely accused of theft, making him everyone’s target, and he’s saddled with three unwanted children: an abandoned little girl, a mute orphan, and the young son of a landlord family. Everyone is waiting to see him make a fool of himself. But they don’t know that this Shen Weidong is no longer the same good-for-nothing he used to be. In his previous life, he was an agricultural expert, a top mediator, and a gifted writer. While others are still fighting over a bite to eat, he’s already clearing land and farming with the three kids, building greenhouses, and raising livestock, making a thriving life for them all. When his old enemies grow jealous and report him, he turns the tables by sending a dossier to the provincial capital, leaving everyone stunned. When the wave of people returning to the cities begins, others fight tooth and nail to go back, but he returns in style with the three kids and a truckload of Beidahuang specialties, becoming the envy of all as a ten-thousand-yuan household. Three burdens, three children with their own agendas: watch how he goes from a “cruel dad” to the person they can’t live without. Some call him ruthless, others say he’s loyal and devoted. Shen Weidong just smiles. “I only want to raise my kids well and live my life well.”
